We respect your privacy and want you to understand what information relates to the PetCarely (“App”, “we”, “us”) and how it is used. This Privacy Policy describes our practices and your choices.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
What data the App may process
Depending on how you use PetCarely, you may provide or generate data including:
- Pet profiles: names, species, photos, notes, and related identifiers you enter.
- Care & diary: feeding, walks, water, grooming, medications, and other care records you log.
- Health records: vet visits, vaccinations, parasite treatments, weight, and similar entries.
- Reminders & notifications: schedules and preferences you configure.
- Expenses: amounts, categories, currencies, and dates you record.
- Emergency contacts: names, phone numbers, email, and optional map coordinates if you choose to set a location on the map.
- Account & settings: display name, profile photo, default currency, units, and notification preferences.
- Subscription: purchase state is handled through Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.
- Technical data: device type, OS version, and diagnostics needed for the App to run (and, if you contact support, the information you include in your message).
Much of this data is stored locally on your device as part of normal app use. If we integrate third-party analytics or crash reporting in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, seek consent.
Location
We request location access only when you use the map to pick or adjust a place for an emergency contact. You can refuse location access and still use the rest of the App; the map may be less convenient to center on your current position.
How we use data
We use the information above to provide PetCarely features (displaying your pets, history, reminders, and expenses), to improve the App, to respond to support requests, and to comply with applicable law.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers who assist us (e.g. hosting or analytics) subject to appropriate safeguards, or when required by law.
Apple: App distribution, purchases, and subscriptions are subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy and Apple ID settings.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use the App at your own risk and protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock.
Data retention & deletion
You can remove data from the App by deleting individual entries or pet profiles where the App provides that option. Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored data from your device according to your system behavior.
Deletion requests: You may contact us at aapawvault@proton.me to request deletion of information we hold in connection with support or legal obligations. We will respond within a reasonable time (typically within 3–15 business days where feasible).
Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
International users
If you use the App from outside your home country, your information may be processed in countries where we or our providers operate. By using the App, you understand such transfers may occur as described in this policy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at the email below to exercise these rights.
California: California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, email aapawvault@proton.me with sufficient detail for us to verify and process your request.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
